Where it all Began... 

Beebies was born in June 2011. I was studying for my A Levels, when older friends and family all began to have babies - and therefore the invites to numerous Baby Showers came flooding in.

 

As a 17 year old on a weekend wage, I really struggled to find gifts that were practical, pretty & affordable all at the same time. I’ve never really been one to give a ‘thoughtless’ gift and I wasn’t about to change that. So I put together gift baskets filled with useful baby essentials. They caused quite a stir and so I decided to try and start a business out of them, promising to offer pretty, practical & affordable baby gifts. I put together a make shift website -http://brassm.wix.com/beebiesbabystorebrand and ticked happily along for about a year, selling to friends and family and the odd contact I had met through the Kent Foundation - a charity based in Kent supporting young entrepreneurs who awarded me with the ‘Peer Award’ for the business people felt had the most potential.

 

With the help from bloggers (Jennie Henley - www.edspire.co.uk   and ‘business friends’ I was given the confidence to strive for bigger things. And so Beebies developed into the One Stop Baby Shop, still with carefully selected products to satisfy every budget and need of parents, that you see before you now.

 

As the business grew, teachers, parents etc expressed their concerns that I wasn't concentrating hard enough on school work, and that without going to university I would leave school with no back up, no fundamental 'qualification’. I'm now 20, with a full set of GCSE’s and good A Level results,and have just left my full time job as an administrator to concentrate on shouting the Beebies name from the roof tops while maintaining a high standard of service to all customers.

 

Where we are now...

Beebies Baby Store has grown bigger than I could ever have imagined in such a short period of time. This is partly down to the amount of fantastic reviews we have received from parenting bloggers. Here are some links to our favourites!

This has proven to be appreciated by many, as during the latest ambassador application process Beebies was praised for our personable approach to social media usage.
